mcqueene:

Adelaide really represented for flyers with a minimalist theme on this one.

Maybe this is why i don’t completely hate adelaide today…

whenever someone asks me my favourite australian musicians, my answer usually includes Nick Cave.
As someone who has not really understood a lot of australian music (especially the kind i heard when i was growing up - my parents obsession with cold chisel was frankly confusing, if not scary) it was so refreshing to discover that there was music from the 70s and 80s originating from our country that was dark, intriguing, comforting and pushed boundaries.
i could go on all day about the many good qualities that nick cave has, or that his bands have: i love almost all of his work, especially the birthday party and his most recent endeavour, grinderman. i saw the latter example a little while ago and despite his age, it was one of the most powerful, enjoyable shows, filled with a strange, youthful sense of cheekiness and creativity. of course, if you asked me to pick a nick cave and the bad seeds song which i found most important, i’d probably burst into tears. his work ethic is astounding and his love for telling a story makes him effortlessly create music despite being in the business for over 30 years.
much love and much respect to you, nick cave.

capefear replied to your post: You get offended wayyyyyyy too easily. Like, I don’t disagree with your rants, but idiots are going to be idiots and getting all worked up over shit is only going to upset yourself. Think about the positive things dude because idiots don’t care if you think they’re idiots.

I’m been mad for like a week that someone misquoted Empire Records and the post had thousands of notes, so I was totally on board with that Breakfast Club post.

aghh i know! to me it just reeks of someone watching the movie because they saw it on tumblr and didn’t understand it so they had to alter it to fit their own stupid brain.

WHY IS IT SO FRUSTRATING TO ME????

i think i stay surprisingly positive about most things…but pointing out posts that are poisonous or backwards often requires me to get pretty involved. i also believe it’s essential to be passionate when equality is involved.

however, if this was in regards to the thing i said about the breakfast club, i was half joking.

No, you're beautiful.
